FAQs

How do you Import/Export archery equipment into or out of Singapore?
From what we understand, archers wanting to personally take goods into Singapore will have to get an import licence from the Arm & Explosive branch of the Singapore Police Force before entering Singapore. Or alternatively, you can have your archery equipment deposited at Customs when you arrive and then get a licence to collect the equipment later. The import licence is valid for 14 days from date of issue and costs S$16.00. A representative can apply for the license on your behalf, which can then be mailed to you, thus enabling you to have it on arrival. Alternatively, your representative can bring the licence to the airport when you arrive. Worst case scenario, leave the equipment at Customs and collect them the following day with the licence.
Likewise you will have to obtain an export licence when you leave Singapore with the equipment. Export licence can be obtained from the & Explosive Branch, Singapore Police Force, No. 3 Lady Hill Road. Charge is S$16.00.
You do not have to go through this licensing process if you order archery equipment from BWachery from overseas.

We accept bank drafts in Singapore dollars made out to ‘Bill Wee Agencies’ and mailed to us at 5 Binchang Walk, Singapore 579857. Currently, we do not accept credit cards. Goods will be sent once payment has been received. These payment terms have been utilised for the last three decades. All local and international archers are familiar with them. Please feel free to ask around
If you need to convert your currency, you can use the Universal Currency Converter to see how much the equipment will cost you.
How do you pack goods I intend to order?
All packages are handled individually according to the purchase order. Packing is done by hand to ensure the best insulation possible for your equipment. This is then counterchecked before being sealed. A packing order is usually included with all boxes.
How does bwarchery send my order to me?
BWarchery will quote against your inquiry, estimating the airmail cost. We use letter rate for small light items. Heavier parcels are sent by air parcel (registered for safe passage to customers). Express airpost costs more. Expensive modes are Federal Express, DHL or local courier service. Please let me know your preference.
If a custom order has been placed (or if we are out of the goods you’ve ordered), you have to also allow for sometimes up to a month or more before such goods are dispatched to you. This is because major suppliers like Hoyt, Easton & Samick all have heavy order loadings. No doubt we will advise you in such situations.
Goods are shipped within a few days.

Tell me more about your guarantee
All our archery equipment are backed by a manufacturer’s guarantee. If the goods you order somehow malfunction or get damaged by normal shooting within a short time (for instance within one or two practice sessions) after you have purchased them, send me an email and we can discuss the problem. Most of the time, if the issue is a legitimate one, I can easily arrange for a replacement for you. This is a gentleman’s agreement that your equipment should work the way you expect it to work.
How do I get to you? Do you have a shop front?
We do not run an archery pro shop or retail store. We operate from a residential address. This allows us to keep our overhead expenses low, and correspondingly, the prices you enjoy are a direct relation to the way we run our business.

How do you Import/Export archery equipment into or out of Singapore?

From what we understand, archers wanting to personally take goods into Singapore used to have to get an import licence from the Arms & Explosives branch of the Singapore Police Force before entering Singapore. This has not been applicable for the last five years, however customs officers at the airport, harbour, and causeway do not know this so it’s best to obtain a letter from the A&E Department when dealing with archery equipment.

You do not have to go through this licensing process if you order archery equipment from BWachery from overseas.

For accurate information regarding ownership and bringing bows into and out of Singapore, please contact OC A&E Branch Tel: +65-68350000 or HP: 91064809.
